The Short Version

RailChop is designed to work entirely on your device. We don't collect your framing data, your cut plans, your moulding profiles, or anything else you put into the app. It all stays on your phone.

Data Storage

All data you enter into RailChop — including moulding profiles, frame jobs, batches, cut plans, and remnants — is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it.

Email Signup

If you sign up for launch notifications on our website, we collect your email address for the sole purpose of notifying you when RailChop is available. We will never sell, share, or use your email for anything other than RailChop launch updates. You can request removal at any time by emailing help@railchop.com.

OCR / Camera

RailChop uses your device camera to scan work orders using on-device text recognition (Apple Vision on iOS, Google ML Kit on Android). Images are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server. No photos are stored after processing.

Analytics

RailChop does not include any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs. We do not track your usage, screen views, or behavior within the app.

Third-Party Services

RailChop does not integrate with any third-party services that receive your data. The app does not make network requests during normal use. PDF exports are generated on-device using the built-in PDF engine.

In-App Purchases

If you purchase a pro upgrade, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment information. We receive only a transaction confirmation from the platform.

Children's Privacy

RailChop is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the revised version here with an updated date. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email to newsletter subscribers.
